The challenge
Water defines life in the Suguta Valley. Households have long depended on distant, seasonal sources — walking for hours, sharing points with livestock, and watching dry seasons stretch longer each decade.
What SUREWA does
SUREWA presses for, and helps deliver, dependable water in the valley: community advocacy for equitable allocation, and practical delivery and improvement of supply — boreholes, water pans, storage and pipelines — agreed openly with the communities who use them.
